A Review of Petroleum Coke Preparation Procedures

Abstract

Specific procedures and techniques are employed to maximize petroleum coke sample integrity in the laboratory. If sample integrity is not retained during preparation, the end results from the laboratory are of little value. All samples require reduction and division as a part of the preparation process. Moisture samples should be handled with extreme care even if this requires separate samples.
