Abstract

A series of common organic solvents was used to deplete 14C-tagged stearic acid monolayers on zinc borosilicate glass. It was found that solvent water content is of key importance in determining the effectiveness of monolayer removal. Monolayer removal was rapid, with almost all removal taking place within the first 30 s.
