Abstract
Data pertaining to X-ray residual stress standards of certain ferrous and nonferrous alloys have been presented. These standards which have been obtained using conventional X-ray diffraction techniques will be employed in conducting field-type residual stress measurements in the shuttle program by using automatic servo-controlled systems.
