    Abstract

    By using the hybrid displacement discontinuity method (a boundary element method) proposed recently by the author, in this note a new numerical analysis is presented for the stress intensity factors (SIFs) of rectangular tensile sheet with single edge crack. The new numerical results can reveal the effect of the boundaries parallel to the crack on the SIFs.
