Technological Application of Auger Electron Spectroscopy

Abstract

A brief review of the principles of Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) is given. The application of AES to a series of technological problems including fracture surface analysis, weathering of glass, vacuum brazing of aluminum alloys, paint adhesion on metal surfaces, and behavior of a friction material is described.
