Abstract

Contamination problems inherent in the preparation of high-purity chemicals must be recognized and controlled. Major problems such as airborne contamination, leaching from containers, and reagents for ultratrace elemental analysis are reviewed. Trace impurities contributed by electrostatic charges, filtration media, and water are discussed.
