Abstract
This study evaluated the performance of four environmentally-improved fabrics after laundering or exposure to light. Specific objectives were to evaluate and compare the breaking strength, breaking elongation, and color change of the experimental fabrics after laundering or exposure to light. Results of the data analyses revealed a significant difference in the percentage of change in breaking strength and breaking elongation among the environmentally-improved fabrics as a result of laundering or exposure to light. Also, there were significant correlations between the percentage change in breaking strength, percentage change in breaking elongation, and color change due to the accelerated treatments of laundering or exposure to light.
