Fundamentals of Biobased and Biodegradable Lubricants: A Real World Perspective

Abstract

Environmentally friendly lubricants, which are biodegradable and non-toxic, are essential in industrial applications. Significant quantities of petroleum fluids enter the environment every year through leaks, spills, line breakage, and fitting failures. The green alternative helps to decrease environmental impact, as well as clean up costs and fines.
