Abstract

The results of a review and evaluation of nuclear data published in the scientific literature are presented. The status of new chemical elements that have been discovered and officially named and the latest data for new elements that have been claimed are examined. Half lives of very long-lived nuclides are presented. Data on the very heavy elements are tabulated. The problems presented by the attempt to estimate errors for the various nuclear data are considered as well as the psychological aspect of error estimation are also discussed.
