Apparatus for Cyclic Stress Path Testing

Abstract

A simple change in the conventional cyclic triaxial cell was made to carry out constant mean stress tests on dry Ottawa sand. Test results show that stress-strain characteristics under cyclic loading conditions are significantly affected by the imposed stress path.
