Abstract

A survey was conducted with two sets of shoeprints from actual crime scenes and the corresponding suspect's shoes. Experts from seven countries were asked to give their opinion on the probability that the suspect's shoe made the shoeprint impression at the crime scene.

Each expert gave his/her opinion based on the scale used in his country. The distribution of the answers is discussed in this paper.
