Abstract

The high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for analyzing printing inks extracted from documents is described. The procedure is sufficiently sensitive for analysis of small areas of printing inks. The analysis can distinguish between different production lots from the same manufacturer. The method was applied on two forensic cases involving forged documents.
