Abstract

An F&E Hedman checkwriter was identified with questioned checkwriter impressions on the basis of unusually heavy ink patterns, which were the result of accumulated debris in the typeface of the checkwriter. This report details a 1989 case and presents photographs of portions of the checkwriter impressions and the checkwriter machine.
