Abstract

This project was undertaken to determine if erasable felt tip writing instruments and their chemical erasers were susceptible to nondestructive examination techniques which are accepted in the field of questioned documents. Through the application of seven different examinations, class characteristics of the inks and erasers were observed and found to be distinguishable.
