Abstract

Picogram quantities of the opiate alkaloid, morphine, were detected in a 50-μ1 samples of dried bloodstain by using radioimmunoassay. The age of the stain versus detectability of morphine, the separation of endogenous interfering substances, and morphine extractibility by various agents were investigated.
