Identification of a Rope by Means of a Physical Match Between the Cut Ends

Abstract

A case in which a rope found at the scene of a homicide is conclusively matched to its source is reported. It demonstrates that the preliminary stereomicroscopic examination of the cut edges of cords and ropes is important.
