Obliterated Writing—An Unconventional Approach

Abstract

The document examiner is often faced with the problem of deciphering obliterated writings. Conventional techniques used in these examinations are reviewed. A case is discussed in which an unconventional method of approach was successfully used to decipher obliterations when customary methods failed. This method is fully explored.
