Abstract

This paper conceptualizes and describes specific qualities of source credibility. Implications of the conception for communication in general and for expert witnesses in particular are elaborated. Dimensions of credibility, the role of the attorney, delivery, dialect, ethnic background, clothing, and characteristics of juries are considered.
