Abstract

This study investigates the feasibility of using two waste materials i.e., Cement kiln dust (CKD) and Fly Ash (FA) together in the construction of highway embankment/road works. In this work, fly ash was stabilized with different proportions of CKD and the potential of CKD in stabilizing fly ash was investigated. The experimental results conclude that CKD can be successfully used for stabilization of fly ash and hence the stabilized fly ash can be used in bulk in the construction of highways embankments/road works.
