Method of Lightweight Sand Production by Fluidized Bed Calcination

Abstract

A method is described for producing lightweight sand by fluidized bed calcination. The procedure offers some advantages over other methods, including increased mechanization and higher quality products. Use of lightweight sand in concrete panels reduces cement consumption, vibration time, and concrete bulk density.
