Abstract
This paper describes a method for determining the material constants of normal weight and heavy weight concrete under static and dynamic loading at 7, 28, and 90 days. The tests were conducted at the University of California, Structures and Materials Laboratory, Berkeley, CA, for comparing the compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, Poisson's ratio, and static tensile strength of normal weight and heavy weight concrete for a nuclear power plant.
