1. Scope
To establish a multi element method for the determination of fluoride, chloride, Bromide, Sulfur in coal and combustion residues. This method will have an automated and manual approach. The method utilzes Oxidative Hydrolysis to liberate mineral anions and captures them in a solution suitable for determination by ion chromatography.
The currernt methods for fluoride are not suported with P&B statments. There are no ASTM methods avalable for the deterination of bromide. This method could be use to model release of anions into the environment by government and industry.
