3. Candles burn with an open flame. Precautions must be taken to ensure that the flame does not ignite combustible materials and initiate a larger fire. To that end, this specification attempts to establish minimum safety requirements for candle accessories.
Candle accessories are used around an open flame product. This standard will be used by retailers and candle manufacturers as they develop and sell these types of products.
