1. Rationale
There are two things going on in these revisions. First, this Standard Practice was referenced for inclusion in an ICC code change in the current cycle of changes to the IBC Code and was rejected at the Committee Level for permissive language. Many of the changes are the removal of the offending language. Secondly, there are changes that have the effect of very closely aligning the language of this standard with E2393-04, which is a companion standard on inspections of joint systems. The Task Group decided that the standards would be easier to understand and use if the language were the same wherever possible.
