1. Scope
Scope is to help perspective purchasers of DDAs have an informed understanding of the tradeoffs in systems for various applications. It is further a goal to define the factors that are important in making comparisons among system types, or among vendors for a given system type. In addition to defining key DDA factors, the document will also discuss a means to verify that the DDA meets required specifications for the application at hand. In this standard, background information on DDAs will be presented.
It is needed to help people who want to do digital conversion make an informed decision without bias. Users are the traditional users of film radiogaphy at casting vendors to pipeline inspectors, Government or industrial.
