1. Rationale
The enclosed standard E2065 Standard Guide for Ethical Requirements for Psychophysiological Detection of Deception (PDD) Examiners, Section 4.12, has been revised as requested by the E-52 Subcommittee on Ethics. The request was to remove the phrase government approving agency and keep recognized regional accrediting agency. Section 4.12 is the only item for review on ballot, the rest of the standard has been included for information only. The reasoning behind this was that many recognized diploma mills are listed as being government approved but are not accredited by any regional accrediting agency. The term recognized was added to accrediting agency since many of the unaccredited institutions have formed their own accreditation entity and in turn accredited themselves.
