1.2 This terminology is unique to the textile industry as it relates to statistical experimentation and analyses of textile products. Meanings of same or like terms used outside the textile industry can be found in other ASTM committee terminology documents and various statistical dictionaries.
1.3 This terminology organizes terms and their corresponding definitions in alphabetical order.
Any organization who tests textiles for quality control or other purposes will need this standard.
