1. Scope
1.1 This practice describes a common approach for determination of thermal resistance of blanket - and board-type insulation and loose û fill insulation made from fibrous and foam material for residential insulation.
1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversion to SI units which are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
1.3 The manufacturer's production process control system is outside the scope of this practise.
