1.1 This guide describes the procedure for determining the effective flow rate and effective hydraulic transmissivity of a multi-linear drainage geocomposites under varying normal compressive stresses and a constant head, assuming the infinite-flow width concept is applicable. 1.2 The infinite-flow width concept identifies a width that is appropriately large to consider the individual, localized contribution of the single drainage conduit not significant to the entire scale of the project. This infinite-flow width concept likely varies from project to project and must be reviewed for validity by the project design engineer before use.
