1. Scope

1.1 The purpose of this practice is to standardize the preparation of brick, structural clay tile, concrete masonry units (including related units), and assemblies of these materials extracted from the field for compressive strength testing in a laboratory environment.
1.2 This practice does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and to determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
