ASTM WK46697

Revision of D4625 - 04(2009) Standard Test Method for Distillate Fuel Storage Stability at 43°C (110°F)

    (What is a Work Item?)

    Active Standard: D4625 - 04(2009)

Developed by Subcommittee: D02.14 | Committee D02 | Contact Staff Manager

    WK46697

    1. Rationale

To ballot the addition of a new statement under the Scope section of the method. The precision statement for this method was determined with a fuel set that included no biodiesel or biodiesel blends. Since many middle distillate fuels now in the marketplace include some biodiesel, it is important to alert the user of this method that the precision statement is not applicable to such fuels. The proposed revisions are being balloted in multiple ballots to improve clarity and simplify consensus agreement. Each revision ballot is considered independent and may be approved without simultaneous approval of the other revision ballots.
