ASTM WK45805

Revision of D7371 - 12 Standard Test Method for Determination of Biodiesel (Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) Content in Diesel Fuel Oil Using Mid Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR-ATR-PLS Method)

    (What is a Work Item?)

    Active Standard: D7371 - 12

Developed by Subcommittee: D02.04.0F | Committee D02 | Contact Staff Manager

    WK45805

    1. Rationale

This proposal to revise the Annex A1.1.1 provides relief from unnecessary calibrations. It is not necessary to calibrate the instrument for measurement ranges for which the instrument is not used. For example, a potential biodiesel blender is blending biodiesel in diesel fuel to a maximum of 5 volume percent.
