    1. Scope

    This test method covers procedures concerning site preparation, technical procedures, quality control, and equipment to direct the efforts of field personnel in collecting surface data needed for determining the volume of bulk material. These procedures include practical and accepted methods of surface point data collection for use in determining volumes by computer analysis, such as Kriging and TIN( Triangulated Irregular Network) and geometric methods.

    No standard currently exists. This standard will be used to provide consisency between surveys in reporting of stocpile volumes. This standard will be used by providers of and users of a service that reports volumes of stockpiled material for inventory reconcilation and control.
