D1425-09: Standard Test Method for Unevenness of Textile Strands Using Capacitance Testing Equipment 1.Change Unevenness in title and throughout the standard to Evenness 2.Update terminology section 3 to comply with D13.92 guidelines. All definitions will be removed from this standard upon approval by the committee. 3.Upon approval of the ILS study in 2009 section 15: Precision and Bias will be replaced with this new data and will be renumbered (9.1 of the ILS study will change to 15.1, etc.). There are 12 tables in the ILS study, it was determined in the editing process this number of tables would be overwhelming. The suggestion was to list tables 6 and 12 in the test method and all others would be available from ASTM with the complete ILS report. Tables 6 and 12 are the components of mass variance in the tested yarns at 400m/min and 800m/min. Tables 1-5 (400m/min) and 7-11(800m/min) contain the information of thin place (-40 and -50), thick places (35 and 50) and neps (140,200 and 280).
