    1. Rationale

    This revision is to capture industry changes in cleaning agent usage and environmental concerns in the selection of cleaning agents. Also, this revision is to to add further guidance for evaluation of cleaning agents for cleaning effectiveness, material compatibility, and oxygen compatibility, including precautions when opting to use cleaning solvents that are reactive in oxygen enriched environments.
