ASTM WK45130

Reinstatement of D3524 - 04 Standard Test Method for Diesel Fuel Diluent in Used Diesel Engine Oils by Gas Chromatography (Withdrawn 2013)

    (What is a Work Item?)

    Active Standard: D3524 - 14

Developed by Subcommittee: D02.B0 | Committee D02 | Contact Staff Manager

Subcommittee D02.B0 has recently obtained jurisdiction of this procedure to maintain it as a current ASTM document. This procedure is referenced and used as part of several engine test procedures designed to test heavy duty engine lubricants for performance and is also heavily used to evaluate field oil samples for the viscosity effect of fuel dilution vs. shear loss. This standard remains an important document for evaluation of engine lubricants.
