    1. Rationale

    Proposal for the Revision of ASTM A335/A335M This proposal is concerning the revision of Table 8 (Test Method Information for Certification and Marking) in ASTM A335/A335M. The combination of Hydrostatic test and Nondestructive Examination is specified in section 12 and section 13. The marking for the combination is summarized in Table 8. However some combinations of Hydrostatic test and Nondestructive Examination are missing in Table 8. The missing combinations in Table 8 are as follows. a) Sub section 12.1.1 Hydrostatic test and without nondestructive examination b) Sub section 12.1.2 Nondestructive electric test as shown in Section 13 without Hydrostatic test. Section 13 specifies two combinations for pipes of Grade P91, P92, P911, and P122 which are missing in Table 8. - Ultrasonic + Flux leakage and without Hydrostatic test - Ultrasonic + Eddy Current and without Hydrostatic test c) Sub section 12.1.3 Without Hydrostatic test and without nondestructive examination Summary of revision of Table 8 Add the following four combinations in bold red in Table 8.
