    1.1This specification covers the design and installation of airborne systems with the capability of employing Infra-Red (IR) emitting systems. 1.2This specification establishes functional operation, performance requirements, and IR safety. 1.3This specification covers IR emissions in support of the use of night vision goggles. 1.4This specification cover IR emissions related safety controls such as duration, beam width, radiant intensity, and wavelength. 1.5This specification covers quality assurance including but not limited to configuration control.
