    1. Scope

    This practice covers the procedure for the post installation verification and acceptance of buried pipe deformation using a 360 degree, visible, rotating, laser light projector, a pipeline and conduit inspection analog or digital CCTV camera system and light line survey image processing software. The combination CCTV pipe inspection system, with cable distance counter or onboard distance encoder, circumferential, rotating laser line projector system and ovality measurement software shall be used to perform a direct pipe measurement and ovality confirmation survey, of new or existing pipeline and conduits as directed by the responsible contracting authority.

    to facilitate easier adoption of this new technology by governmental agencies, utilities, and other users without having to write their own specifications.
