Update Note 6 - This test method is has been written for water but the scope in 1.3 states that it is applicable to liquid and solid waste and waste extract matrices including aqueous, oil, spent solvent, soil, ash, leachates, etc. without references to any adjustments that may need to be made for the specific matrix being analyzed. Solid waste or soil (for example) might be submitted for analysis that contains a moisture component. A reported result that does not account for this may not accurately reflect the true concentration of the analyte. This change alerts both the analyst and the recipient of the results of the possible need for such adjustment.
