    1. Scope

    The guide is intended to establish procedures and methodologies for the review and assessment of building or structure designs, with respect to their anticipated performance when exposed to winter weather; and the potential for danger to people or property due to ice and snow accretion that can release from the building or structure surface.

    This topic has not been addressed previously and guidance is being requested by the design industry.
