The Open Office has changed since the introduction of this standard in 1990. As such, many of the conceptual and technical references in the current standard are dated and need to be revised to reflect current design practises and technological advancements. Furthermore, with the expansion of the subcommittee scope to cover all aspects of speech privacy, the inclusion of some guidelines for closed offices should be considered.
