ASTM WK42728

Revision of E2215 - 10 Standard Practice for Evaluation of Surveillance Capsules from Light-Water Moderated Nuclear Power Reactor Vessels

    (What is a Work Item?)

    Active Standard: E2215 - 15

Developed by Subcommittee: E10.02 | Committee E10 | Contact Staff Manager

    1. Rationale

Changes were made to E2215 for consistency with the new version of E185 that was balloted (but did not pass). For example, use of MDF and ex-RV dosimetry recommendations. Testing of HAZ specimens was made optional. Footnote 6 was changed to publicly available source. Section 9 was changed substantially to address license renewal. Reporting requirements (10) was changed to be consistent with reference standards and electronic reporting was added from an older version. I will place this draft in the collaboration area until the end of July at which time any comments that I receive will be address and then it will be sent for subcommittee ballot.
