ASTM WK42465

New Test Methods for Nonaqueous Phase Liquid Sorption Capacity of Organophilic Clay

    (What is a Work Item?)

Developed by Subcommittee: D18.21.07 | Committee D18 | Contact Staff Manager

    WK42465

    1. Scope

These test methods cover two index methods that enable the evaluation of nonaqueous phase liquid sorption properties of an organophilic clay. These methods can also be used with site samples of nonaqueous phase liquids.

Organophilic clay can be used as a media in permeable reactive barriers. Evaluating the nonaqueous phase liquid sorption capacity of organophilic clay can help consultants in their design of such systems.

    Keywords
