    1. Rationale

    S 742-13A, Grade 70 addition to S77 supplement in A913, Rationale: Grade 70 is being introduced in design specifications and the reduce sulfur content may be desirable in material subjected to high through-thickness stresses. This proposal adds grade 70 to the list of applicable grades. Current: S77 Reduced Sulfur - Grade 65 [450]: S77.1 The Grade 65 [450] shall be furnished with a maximum sulfur of 0.010%. This may be desirable in material subjected to high through-thickness stresses. Proposed: S77. Reduced Sulfur S77.1 The Grade 65 [450] shall be furnished with a maximum sulfur of 0.010%. This may be desirable in material subjected to high through-thickness stresses. S77.2 The Grade 70 [485] shall be furnished with a maximum sulfur of 0.010%. This may be desirable in material subjected to high through-thickness stresses.
