1. Rationale
The following changes are being proposed to the standard: 1.Revise sentence in 5.1.2.1 Mold Sleeve for clarity and editorially reverse inch-pound units inside parentheses to correspond to SI units. 2.Change heading of 5.2 Vebe Vibrating Table to be consistent with the heading used in ASTM C1170-08 which describes the same apparatus. 3.Change properties of apparatus in 5.2 Vebe Vibrating Table to be consistent with ASTM C1170 which describes the same apparatus. 4.Revise Figure 1 with a figure to more clearly show how the rigid hinged sleeve is secured to the base plate. 5.Revise vibrating table SI units for amplitude values in 7.1 Calibration and Standardization to be consistent with values given in ASTM C1170 which describes the same apparatus.
