1. Rationale
The purpose of this revision of E2141 has been to (i) remove the performance specification information and create a separate specification document (ii) to make the standard easier to follow by removing unnecessary informational text, adding clarifying text and organizing the procedure more clearly in subsections etc., and (iii) update the scope. The goal of this revision is not to make any changes to the test method/procedure itself, but just to make the standard easier to follow and to remove the specification wording to make it consistent with the ASTM form and style guidelines.
