1. Scope
Identify what data needs to be recorded and reported on butt fusion joints and how to compare this information to existing joining requirements.
There is no standard on what information needs to be recorded on each butt fusion joint in order to evaluate whether the standard was followed.This will allow spec. engineers a standard to specify so all data needed is recorded. This can be a very useful quality control device for all plastic butt fusion joints. This data should be able to be reviewed and stored in a common format.
