1. Scope
This practice describes the procedures for reconstruction of the lateral pipe-to-mainline connection by in-situ robotic injection of resins to re-establish soil matrix bedding support for the lateral and connection and simultaneous sealing of the connection.
Currently there are no practice standards or protocols existing to guide collection system owners and operators in applying injectable resins to reconstruct connection bedding. Therefore, the lack of a standard practice leaves the owner without an established system for controlling installation and quality control of injectable materials.
