1. Rationale
1) Certified reference specimens for the verification of instrumented force values are now available from NIST. It is proposed to add subsection 7.2.7, which mentions the availability of these specimens. A reference to the NIST certification report will be added. 2) An error has been identified in Eq.(7) of the current standard, which produces negative values of estimated SFA (Shear Fracture Appearance). The equation will be corrected by replacing the minus sign between the two square roots with a multiplication sign.
